 Welcome to Bright Financial Literacy, the visionary creation of Somik Baweja, a dedicated high school rising senior from Peoria, Illinois. Bright is more than just a program—it's a movement. Driven by the realization of a critical lack of financial knowledge around him, Somik was inspired to address an even greater need among underprivileged students. This led to Bright Financial Literacy, an organization that fosters financial awareness and skills among individuals. Bright stands for Building Resilience, Inspiring Growth, and Harmonizing Talent, encapsulating the mission to cultivate a resilient, informed, and harmoniously growing youth population 

Bright is uniquely designed by students, for students. This peer-to-peer educational approach makes our curriculum relatable and engaging, inspiring a deeper connection and understanding among our participants. We bridge the gap between theoretical financial concepts and practical financial wisdom by leveraging student-driven insights and strategies.

Since our inception, we have established chapters in many states. Our programs are set up to reach diverse students, equipping them with essential financial skills. As we roll out our initial programs, we anticipate empowering hundreds of students with the knowledge to manage their finances effectively, make informed economic choices, and understand the broader economic factors that affect their lives.

As we look to the future, Bright Financial Literacy plans to expand both domestically and globally. Our goal is to educate and inspire financially literate and empowered young leaders. Through partnerships, community engagement, and continuous innovation in our educational approaches, we are committed to making financial literacy accessible to all.
